Arwah was knowledgeable and intelligent, a Literature graduate from Lancaster University.
Arwah was a jovial person, always cracking jokes out of nowhere, and would make me, Aina and Mary look at each other with widened eyes, as if saying "Whaaaaat?" and laugh hysterically.
One time, when other students in other groups were cracking their brains on the literary elements of so and so novel, he asked us to do an assignment on citation. Showed how serious he was on us borrowing people's work.
Arwah showed music videos of The Smiths in class, and we actually analyzed the lyrics.
On the last lesson of Contemporary Literature, he showed the movie, District 9. To those who don't know, the movie is about an alien invasion, yet somehow he found a way to associate it with literature.
His motto in life was Usaha, Sabar dan Tawakkal/ Effort, Patience and Faith.

Tell me, have you had a lecturer like this? Probably yes, but I believe he was one in a million.

I genuinely enjoyed every moment of your teaching Sir. Thank you for literally everything. You will be sorely missed. Al-fatihah...

I cant help it each time I remember him keep calling my name in his class. "Azie, how's the script going on?" "Azie, how's your team's drama practice?" "Azie, you and team did an awesome job!"
