Of good music, great food, and even greater friends
Last night, me, Aina, Mary and Amer enjoyed ourselves, though we experienced shoulder ache, waist ache and feet cramps after standing for almost three hours of waiting and watching Zee Avi live on stage. I kept trying to make myself "tall" by standing on my tiptoes, while in my head went through the thought of "why didn't I just wear heels and suck up the pain" because I could only see Zee Avi in between people's heads -_- Nevertheless, she was wicked (yes, her self; her hair was vamped up and lips were painted red, and she was just so adorable), her music swayed me, and I was in good company :)
I have to admit, I am not a big fan of hers though I do like her music and voice but I am not one of the fans who buys her album and knows all the songs. Thus, when Bitter Heart was sang, I knew only the "Bitter heart, bitter heart" part of the chorus. So did the other three. It was very obvious the reason we went was because of wanting to spend quality time together heh heh heh. So when everyone was singing to Zee Avi, we were laughing our heads off and pretended we knew and lip-synched all the way. But of course, I sang all throughout Kantoi hehe.
After the gig, big fans of Williams, Aina and Mary guided the driver (Amer) and the co-pilot (Me) to PJ to have some late dinner. We (me and Amer, newbies of Williams) were told the food was awesome possum. And truly, it was. I wish I had taken a picture of the food but I was so hungry I couldn't bother to do so. Until now, gambaran makanan itu terngiang-ngiang di mata dan perut saya. (sorry, BM totally out). Thank you darlings for introducing me to spectacular (really really) food. Nanti kita pegi lagi okay okay okay?
But as they say, (who are they anyway?) good things have to come to an end. I hate the part when it's late and we have to go back home and reality comes a-knocking. As for tomorrow, I have an assignment to submit and a presentation to conduct. But it was a sweet escape we all needed. :)
